They are threatening us to pay thithe-Basketmouth

Nigerian comedian and stand-up act, Bright Okpocha, professionally known as Basketmouth, has shared his thoughts on the issue of tax and tithe threats in Nigeria.

General Overseer of Living Faith Church, Bishop David Oyedepo had said that anyone who doesn’t pay tithe is “under a financial curse” and can never prosper.

Reacting to this, Basketmouth wrote via Instagram that the church is now threatening people with financial curse over tithe despite the current economic situation of the country. In his words: “THIS LIFE NO BALANCE AT ALL!! The Govt will threaten us with prosecution if we don’t pay our TAX & VAT.

“The CHURCH will now threaten us with a FINANCIAL CURSE if you don’t pay your TITHE! Inside the TERRIBLE ECONOMY? “With the LEVEL OF UNEMPLOYMENT? ABEGIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!!!!!!!”
