Money Heist season 5: Lisbon’s death ‘sealed’ as The Professor star drops hint

MONEY HEIST season four saw Lisbon arrive in the Bank of Spain as The Professor helped save her from jail and reunited her with the other robbers. However, it may not have been the best move as The Professor star Alvaro Morte has teased he will end up alone when the Netflix show comes to an end.

As the first heist at the Royal Mint got underway in season one of Money Heist, The Professor wormed his way into Raquel Murillo’s (played by Itziar Ituño) affections. While it wasn’t part of his plan, he ended up falling in love with the Inspector and when he came clean about his identity, Raquel eventually accepted who he was and the pair began a new life in Asia. But their romance could be over very soon after a cryptic hint from the cast.

The Professor started off as a lonely and shy character but once he fell for Raquel, he could not imagine life without her.

The pair have worked together on the heist on the Bank of Spain and fans saw them travel in a camper van as they worked on the logistics of the robbery from the outside.

However, the couple were split in season three and Raquel, now known as Lisbon, was taken into police custody and interrogated.

She was later rescued by The Professor and dropped onto the roof of the bank by helicopter to reunite with the gang.

“The Professor was a very weird guy, a very lonely guy and what happened with the band and finding love, it’s really small chapter in his life.

“If we’re talking about the end of the character, I think at one point, I’d like to see him go back to that loneliness, that solitary life that he’s more used to and seems more comfortable in.”

If The Professor ended up alone it would mean he would mean he either breaks up with Lisbon or she is killed.

Meanwhile, Itziar, who stars as Lisbon said she thinks “Raquel would like to see her mom and daughter”.

The cast also spoke about what they felt their character’s motives for the heist were and while Lisbon was originally trying to catch them, she is now at the centre of the drama.

Speaking of Lisbon’s journey from Raquel the Inspector to The Professor’s partner, she said: “At the beginning it was more about catching the bad guys with no victims as possible at least.

“She finds that her character had a warning from the rationale and a warning from the emotional, from the heart.

“When she falls in love, it is basically like she is blindfolded by the whole thing and so she starts to realise she was defending what wasn’t what she believed in, which was the system.

“It is when she moves on to work with the band that she realises that her love is in the believe, her intellectual belief is in the plan and she doesn’t want to lose what she has developed emotionally with of course The Professor and everyone in the band.”

Lisbon has certainly proven herself to be a key member of the team after she refused to crack and share secrets of the heist when in police custody.

This would mean the robber is actually Cincinnati’s true father and not Arturo Roman (Enrique Arce) like Stockholm suspects.

Money Heist season 1-4 are available to stream on PopNaija now.
