Kepa Arrizabalanga has found himself slowly moving closer to the exit door . These is after Frank Lampard lost faith in him due to his last season performances . Despite coming in with high hopes having costed the Blues much cash he’s not leaved up to the expectations.
Oblak and Kepa may witch clubs this summer.
Almost two weeks to official first matches of the new premier league season, and Chelsea are up and running for a new keeper. First in there list is Onana from Ajax while Oblak falls second in the wishlist.
Now according to Goal Chelsea are waiting for Rennes response after submitting a bid for their keeper Mendy. This comes as a surprise as the French based player was not highly mentioned compared to Onana and Oblak.
To Chelsea’s disappointment their first bid was rejected believed to be around £15m .And now Lampard is back with an improved offer of £18m to try convince the French club to release their keeper.
It is not clear weather Lampard will add Mendy to offer Kepa with competition or he is going to directly displace Kepa between the sticks.
Chelsea have placed a £18m bid for Eduardo Mendy .
Lampard is putting much pressure to himself considered his spend spree this season which doesn’t come without proper scrutiny . With his highrachy and fans expecting premier league silverware next season as minimum achievement. Failure to deliver he will be without doubt be axed by ruthless Abramovich .
If the two pending deals, Kai and Mendy go through it will see Chelsea expenditure this summer go past the £250m mark. You can see the pressure mounting on Lampard to deliver, as there no other premier league club has spent much as his.
